About Me

I am an environmental social entrepreneur and a youth activist on HIV/AIDS with 3 years of professional experience from the non profit sector. As a social worker my previous work experiences spans through organizations like the Girls’ power initiative (GPI),Youth Action for Change ( YAC), Planned parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN), Prestige Youth Academy (PYA) and the Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS where I have successfully worked to solve major local, state and national issues of collective interest like environmental pollution, sectarian conflicts, juvenile delinquency, drug abuse, climate change hunger and poverty and HIV/AIDS. As a youth activist and a co-founder of Rivers State Youth Coalition On HIV/AIDS a youth led NGO modeled after the international NGO Global Youth Coalition on HIV/AIDS (GYCA), I have led several youth projects aimed at effectively addressing the raising rate of HIV infection among young people in my community and rivers state at large. In addition to empowering young people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS to cope with their circumstances through training, counseling and education, I have partnered with various agencies working on youth issues to organize a consultation series seeking young people’s input on youth-driven local program and policies. I have my B.Sc in environmental chemistry from the Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria and I am currently the West African school engagement coordinator with DeforestACTION a global movement of youth and schools taking action to stop deforestation and creating a permanent habitat for Orang-Utans and other species that depend on the forest ecosystem.
