 About Me |
Marty began his career with the YMCA at the Des Moines Camp in 1998. In 2002, Marty relocated to New York and joined the Flushing YMCA Beacon Center as the Program Director and Assistant Center Director. Marty joined the West Side YMCA Team as the Director of Adolescent Programs in April of 2004. His work with Teens has been significant, comprehensive and progressive. Marty most recently served as the Director of the Center for Youth and Family at the West Side YMCA. In this role, he oversaw all youth programs for the West Side and Grosvenor Neighborhood House YMCA’s.
Marty has a Bachelor of Science degree in Leisure Studies/ Recreation Management from the University of Ottawa in Canada. He also has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Psychology from Iowa State University and completed a Masters in Social Work at Fordham University in 2007.
