I am honored and proud to say that I am a teacher at the School of the Future. I have taught English and social studies for many years. My expertise is in problem-based service learning project development. I write curriculum and train teachers and my students and I have won national recogniztion for our efforts.
I am a nationally recognized expert in this field, and have spoken at the White House and before the National Commission on Service Learning. I was also filmed by the Kellogg Foundation twice and recently attended a Johnson Wingspread Conference on Service Learning. I was one of 49 nationally selected participants.
I love working with students and learning right along with them. It keeps me young. I also like watching cartoons and sci-fi flicks. My favorite cartoons are Batman and the XMen. I am a Star Trek geek and have attended conferences. Also love Harry Potter and actually bought Ms. McGonagall's hat.
I have been married 28 years and have two children. My daughter is an attorney and her brother who will join her shortly. They followed their dad.
