Nadine joined Taking It Global, as the Program Assistant for the Sprout e-course, and is excited to be part of the team engaging in online education of global issues. She has been based in Cairo for six years, where she acquired international development experience working in countries with priority needs. Nadine has worked on environmental management and social development projects that involve climate change, waste management, environmental and social impact assessment; corporate social responsibility; and environment, health and safety due diligence. She currently lives in Toronto, and aspires to become a leader in international development.
Nadine has a BASc and MASc from the University of Toronto in Civil Engineering (Collaborative Environmental Option), and holds a Certificate of Preventive Engineering and Social Development. She thrives on inter-disciplinary work and continuously looks for ways to merge ideas together to make new ones. Through interacting with people from all walks of life, she enjoys taking part in creating change in the world.
Nadine is working on improving her French, and learning to play the violin. She has traveled to the Maldives, Kenya, Tanzania, Austria, Malaysia, and South Africa, and always waits for the next available opportunity to plan a getaway.
