About Me

Lucie is passionate about youth leadership development and empowering youth to realize their potential. She has wide experience inspiring and engaging youth from different cultures in activities that have a positive impact on society through her work with TIG, UNICEF and AIESEC.

Lucie has lived, studied, and worked in several countries in Europe and USA, and now calls Canada home. She has a Masters in Business Management from Silesian University in the Czech Republic and worked as a change management project coordinator for one of the top 5 consumer goods company in Europe.

Inspired by student activism in her university days throughout AIESEC, Lucie joined later UNICEF Canada as a volunteer and is a frequent speaker and workshop facilitator in the area of global development issues. When she joined TakingITGlobal (TIG), a non-profit organization with the aim of fostering cross-cultural dialogue, strengthening the capacity of youth as leaders and increasing awareness and involvement in global issues through the use of technology, as a volunteer in January 2010, she did not know how much this experience will influence her life. As the Innovative Student Projects Coordinator she ensured an excellent execution of the student component of the 6th Asia Pacific Regional Innovative Education Forum 2010 –organized in conjunction with Microsoft Asia Pacific. Her passion for working with youth was a demonstration of her commitment to this work and to each of the student participants. Now she continues with TIG doing what she is most passionate about… supporting youth leadership and project management skills development via Sprout E-Course.

In her free time she is an avid traveler and amateur photographer, she loves spending time with her family and friends, and is active in sports, philosophy reading, and healthy lifestyle.
